The pollution and community disruption resulting from transportation systems disproportionately affects poor and minority communities. This panel of three Los Angeles area activists representing different perspectives will discuss ongoing local projects in which the needs and rights of these communities are being actively addressed.
Martha Matsuoka is Assistant Professor of Urban & Environmental Policy at Occidental College.
Michele Prichard has been senior fellow to the UCLA School of Public Affairs since 2007 and is a Board Member of the Venice Community Housing Corporation.
