C.J. Gabbe is an urban planner with an interdisciplinary background in public policy, real estate, and community engagement. His research focuses on the relationship between land use regulations and housing affordability; and the benefits and costs of smart growth. C.J. has a background in consulting, previously working as a project manager for Portland, Oregon-based Fregonese Associates. Before joining Fregonese Associates, C.J. worked for the Portland Development Commission and on Capitol Hill as a staffer to U.S. Senator Ron Wyden. C.J. is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
