The UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs has been given the extraordinary opportunity to rethink and plan how to meet the challenges of our time.  The generous $50 million naming gift from Meyer and Renee Luskin provides the resources to begin to redefine the future of the School, the future of the field of public affairs, and the future for how public universities respond to society’s greatest problems.

This comprehensive planning project focuses on identifying the world’s most pressing problems, developing new opportunities for UCLA Luskin to address them, and creating the knowledge base, tools, and initiatives that are required for the School to play a leadership role for the next half century.

The Luskins’ investment in our School allows us to rethink everything; it is also an act of faith in the City of Los Angeles as a living laboratory from which our students, faculty and graduates can test new ideas, develop new models, and implement novel strategies and interventions to meet the challenges of the future. The outcome of our planning will define the UCLA Luskin School’s critical advantage.

We invite you to follow our progress, offer your perspectives, and engage with us in this exciting journey of new ideas and new practices at a time of great change in our School, city, nation and the world.
