The Critical Planning Journal was established in 1993 to serve as a forum for the urban planning community to present current research interests, debate important issues, and share ideas about the field of urban planning. We welcome graduate students of all disciplines to participate in this process. We are in need of the following staff positions for our Summer 2009 issue, “Urban Restructuring: Process and Action”:

Editorial Board:
• Reads all submissions and review board comments
• Evaluates submissions during editorial board meetings
• Decides on articles and photos for the journal
• Guides authors through the revision process
• Attends one meeting in the fall quarter and two meetings in the winter quarter

Review Board:
• Reads and evaluates 2-4 submissions in the fall quarter
• Reads and evaluates 2 accepted articles in the winter quarter
• No meetings required

Copy Editors:
• Proofreads accepted articles
• Guides authors through the revision process
• Leads a proofreading meeting in winter quarter

Designers:
• Lays out the issue in Adobe InDesign
• Must have previous experience with this software
• Completes the process during winter quarter or spring break

Photo Editors:
• Solicits article and cover photos
• Leads the photo selection process during a winter quarter meeting
