Nina M. Flores is an educator, scholar, writer, and activist living in Southern California. She teaches graduate courses in the Social & Cultural Analysis of Education (SCAE) program at CSULB, and is frequently asked to speak and write about feminism, sexual assault prevention, street harassment, and social media. Her research focuses on women and cities, explores how people are using new technologies to digitally document their experiences in public space, and looks to how planners and organizers can use this information to better understand complex urban problems. 

Nina's past professional experience includes many years working as a jury consultant and a political messaging strategist. During that time she conducted pre-trial focus group research for medical malpractice, contract, environmental, and discrimination cases in more than 30 states. Nina is the former managing editor of Critical Planning Journal, and a fellow with The OpEd Project.
