Danielle Vu received the Alice Belkin memorial Fellowship for minority graduate students interested in pursuing a caraeer in international relations.

The California Planning Foundation (CPF) has announced scholarship awards for 2007. Students from the nine accredited undergraduate and graduate planning programs in California compete for these scholarships. This year's UCLA recipients include

  • Kei Nagano, First Place, Outstanding Student Scholarship Winner ($4,000)
  • Kennetha Gaines, Outstanding Diversity Award ($2,000)
  • David Berneman and Mojha Rhoads, Los Angeles Section Awards ($1,000 each)
  • Laura Zahn, Ken Milam (County Planning Director's Association) Award ($1,000)
  • Jackelyn Cornejo, Richard G. Munsell/California Planning Roundtable Scholarship Award ($1,000)

The CPF is a nonprofit, charitable corporation established to further the professional practice of planning in California. CPF achieves this goal through its primary activity of scholarships and awards to university students in financial need, who have demonstrated academic excellence at programs approved by the Planning Accreditation Board.

Kennetha Gaines, second year M.A., and Jamillah Jordan, first year M.A., have been awarded APA Planning Fellowships. Five fellowships were awarded this year nationally. The purpose of the American Planning Association Planning Fellowship program is to foster increased minority interest in the study of urban planning at the graduate level.
