Voter mobilization is increasingly the key to capturing the majority of a divided electorate. From the presidency to the neighborhood council, elections at all levels depend on candidates’ abilities to motivate voters to get to the polls.

From his time as a candidate in the 2004 presidential election to his service as chairman of the Democratic National Committee, former Vermont Governor Howard Dean has pioneered innovative ways to activate and mobilize networks of voters. His political action committee, Democracy for America, trains leaders in all 50 states to run successful campaigns online and on the ground, particularly among grassroots organizations and underrepresented populations.
