On May 2, 2012, former U.S. President Bill Clinton will deliver the inaugural Luskin Lecture for Thought Leadership at UCLA’s Royce Hall. The 42nd President will speak on “Embracing our Common Humanity.”

Meyer and Renee Luskin established the Luskin Lecture for Thought Leadership as part of a transformative gift to UCLA. Their vision in establishing the endowed lecture series gives UCLA an unprecedented opportunity to share knowledge and expand the dialogue among scholars, leaders in government and business, and the greater Los Angeles community.

Part of the Luskin’s generosity to the UCLA campus included a $50 million gift to the Luskin School of Public Affairs. When the gift was established, Dean Franklin D. Gilliam, Jr., noted, “The Luskins’ generosity will enable us to expand debate on some of the most challenging questions of our time and apply new knowledge to benefit society”. Along with the Luskin Lecture for Thought Leadership, the Luskins’ gift also supports graduate student
fellowships, faculty teaching and research, the study of new and emerging fields, endowed faculty chairs, and the UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation.

Tickets for the event are available through Ticketmaster. For more information, please visit:  http://www.luskinthoughtleadership.ucla.edu/index.html
