Philanthopists and longtime UCLA supporters Meyer and Renee Luskin were honored with UCLA's first Fiat Lux Award at the inaugural Luskin
Lecture for Thought Leadership held May 2 at Royce Hall. Former U.S. President Bill Clinton was the keynote speaker.

UCLA Chancellor Gene Block presented the couple, both graduates of UCLA, with the college’s Fiat Lux Award for their “visionary leadership and enlightened philanthropy.” In 2011 the Luskins made a $100 million donation to UCLA, half of which was given in support of scholarship and
teaching in public policy, urban planning and social welfare at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs.
