The Social Welfare Department at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs sends its students out to work in the field every year. Many of them work with the homeless and mentally disabled, like Daniel Cha and Maritza Sandoval, who are working with Mental Health America of Los Angeles.

This video piece shows what students are doing outside of the classroom and how they are putting into practice what they are learning on their path to the Social Welfare master's degree.
