UCLA Luskin School professor Michael Storper was honored earlier this month with the Sir Peter Hall Award, presented by the Regional Studies Association, recognizing his vast work in urban and regional planning.

Dr. Storper, recently named UCLA Luskin's Director of International Initiatives, was given the award in a ceremony in London.

Storper received the award based on his contributions to the field of economic geography and regional studies. An urban planning professor at UCLA, Dr. Storper sought to understand how non-economic factors combine to explain the diversity of regional development.
