A trip to Europe sometime near the end of college seems like
a rite of passage.
And, a rite of passage is a fitting way to describe a European
trip for four social welfare students. Although it wasn’t your typical
backpacking journey through several countries.
This trip, though, opened minds and taught lessons – things
that can actually be put in practice by this foursome rather than just fill
conversation.
Based on her recent research of finding the exact number medical marijuana dispensaries in Los Angeles, Dr. Bridget Freisthler has been able to share the details of her groundbreaking research in the city.
Freisthler, a social welfare professor at UCLA's Luskin School of Public Affairs, has performed several television interviews with NBC and Fox in Los Angeles and has been interviewed by various print outlets.
With a ban on medical marijuana dispensaries in Los Angeles
looming, Social Welfare professor Bridget Freisthler conducted groundbreaking
research funded by the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) to put a number
on exactly how many dispensaries there are in the city limits.
The final tally, 472 as of Tuesday – two days before the ban
was to go into effect – is radically different than the amount of medical
marijuana dispensaries believed to be in operation.
