Sociology Professor Min Zhou (who also holds a joint appointment in Urban Planning) was featured in a recent edition of  UCLA Today.  Zhou has written about the social and economic potential of Chinese
America, Chinatowns, immigration and community transformation, Vietnamese children adapting to life in the United
States, and contemporary Asian America and Asian American youth.  Zhou's recent autobiography The Accidental Sociologist in Asian American Studies recounts her own experience of the Chinese cultural revolution and criitically examines the experience of Chinese/Asian Americans.
