Brad Rowe is a Master of Public Policy student, graduating in June. An actor and an activist, Rowe received a Rosenfield Fellowship and is working at United Way Los Angeles. Rowe, an accomplished actor who has been in over 70 film and television titles, traveled to Haiti to work with the J/P Haitian Relief Organization in 2013. He has also directed and produce documentaries that have featured Bill Clinton, Condeleezza Rice, Bill Gates and many others.

nonpartisan membership organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals over the age of 50.
In our latest segment in the "Did You Know?" series, we feature former Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis, who teaches a Public Policy course at UCLA Luskin. The course, titled "Institutional Leadership and the Public Manager" is available for UCLA Luskin students during Winter quarter. Dukakis has taught at the School since 1991.
The California Transportation Foundation released its annual awards on Wednesday, naming ACCESS Magazine, housed inside the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, as its Organization of the Year.
The magazine reports on research funded by the University of California Transportation Center.
The port of Los Angeles and Long Beach is the
busiest port in the United States and currently receives 44 percent of all cargo shipped
to our country. In 2012, this amounted to about eight million cargo units with
global trade partners including China, Japan and South Korea.
Fernando Torres-Gil, a professor
of Social Welfare and Public Policy at the UCLA Luskin School of Public
Affairs, will be leading a one-day symposium later this week to focus on pressing issues related to aging.
Several topics to be discussed include current and past demographic trends,
issues of diversity in aging, and the implications of the aging of baby boomers
and Mexican-Americans in the U.S.
Nearly two years after Meyer and Renee Luskin’s transformative gift, the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs will change its website URL to match the name of the School.
Starting March 25, the UCLA Luskin School can be found online at luskin.ucla.edu.
This new URL will be the basis for many different administrative units at UCLA that have benefitted from the generosity from Luskins.
