
Michael Stoll [4], professor and chair of public policy at the UCLA School of Public Affairs, spoke with CBS Evening News [5] regarding U.S. census data being released this week that experts predict will show a record increase in the nation's poverty rate. The anticipated poverty rate increase — from 13.2 percent to 15.0 percent — comes just seven weeks before mid-term elections.
