
Public Policy Professor Mark Kleiman [4] was recently featured on NPR to discuss new figures showing a "spectacularly dramatic" drop in homicide rates in both Los Angeles and nationwide. Speculation behind these numbers consider an increase in officers, gang crackdowns, neighborhood initiatives, socio-economic changes, and policing strategies.
