
The Fall 2011 issue of Newsforum [2], the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs magazine, was recently published and is now available online. The magazine includes updates on the school, faculty research and findings, as well as faculty, student and alumni accomplishments. The cover story “Ideas in Action” features faculty from our three departments of Public Policy, Social Welfare, and Urban Planning and their continuing work on the policy front lines.

This edition also includes a message from Dean Frank Gilliam on the “Defining our Future: UCLA Luskin’s Critical Advantage” project, and the “extraordinary opportunity” afforded by the naming gift from Meyer and Renee Luskin which will “allow us to rethink and strategically, plan how the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs should meet the enormous challenges confronting Los Angeles, the state of California, the nation and the world.”
