Fall 2011 Social Welfare Newsletter Now Available Online

The Fall 2011 issue of Social Welfare's semi-annual newsletter [3] is now available online. The newsletter includes updates on
the department, faculty research and findings, as well as faculty, student
and alumni accomplishments.

A few of the Fall 2011 highlights include:

  • Jorja Leap, alumna and faculty member, featured in Los Angeles magazine
  • Marshall Wong, alumnus, recognized as NASW California Social Worker of the Year
  • Megan Holmes, SW doctoral student, wins 2012 SSWR Doctoral Fellows Award
  • Joseph A. Nunn Alumnus of the Year Award Reception Recap

This edition also includes a message from Fernando Torres-Gil, the department's new Chair.
