UCLA Luskin Career Services offers employers a variety of opportunities to connect with graduate students in the fields of Public Policy, Social Welfare and Urban Planning.
1. Recruit UCLA Luskin students
To advertise an employment posting to UCLA Luskin graduate students and alumni, we invite you to post the position online. Career Services maintains a searchable online employment database that features full- and part-time jobs and internships.
As part of their studies, master's students in Urban Planning and Public Policy complete a capstone project called an Applied Planning Research Project or Applied Policy Project. These arrangements give outside organizations access to professional quality policy analysis at low cost while students gain valuable experience putting their analytic skills into action.
Career information sessions and on-campus interviews give hiring managers and recruiters that are looking to hire UCLA Luskin students a chance to come to campus to share information about current projects and/or job openings and to provide insight into their organization's hiring process. Students are encouraged to submit resumes directly to recruiters. Presentations typically take place on campus over the lunch hour and conclude with a question and answer session.
Our annual Career Fair brings together employers from the public, private and non-profit sectors that have job and internship vacancies. The free fair provides a convenient opportunity for employers to meet a wide variety of potential job applicants and collect resumes.
