Marsha Brown

Marsha Brown manages the academic and administrative functions of the Department of Urban Planning.

She is responsible for academic personnel matters including faculty recruitment, merit increases and promotions, hiring of lecturers and TAs, and implementation of the Department's Visiting Scholar and Visiting Graduate Researcher programs. She is in charge of class scheduling, oversees the departmental budget, manages the departmental website, and acts  as a resource to the department chair, faculty and departmental committees on various matters.    

Marsha is a knitter, lover of gardening, art, blues and Americana music, and collector of slinkies and miniature buildings. She and her architect husband Jeff live in Hermosa Beach where they spend hours cleaning tar off of their feet.
