Kate O’Neal joined UCLA Luskin in January 2012 as Assistant Dean for External Relations.
In this capacity she oversees UCLA Luskin’s fundraising, advisory board relations, communications, external events and programs, career services, and alumni relations. Prior to her present position, she worked at the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, generating philanthropic support to establish initiatives including RAND Supply Chain Policy Center, Center on Quality Policing, and RAND’s domestic work in Israel through the Infrastructure, Safety, and Environment division.
Earlier in her career, Kate served Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, coordinating fundraising events, advisory boards, and establishing the college’s first corporate relations program.
Kate is a returning member of the UCLA family, having previously held a development position with UCLA Libraries. Early in her professional life she worked for theatrical producer Joseph Papp at the Public Theater and New York Shakespeare Festival.
