On Friday, Public Policy professor Arleen Leibowitz hosted International Fellows from the National Defense University's, representing over 50 countries at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs.
The group contacted Leibowitz and requested an informational talk about her latest HIV/AIDS research. Leibowitz included speakers from around the UCLA campus, Mary Jane Rotheram and Sung-Jae Lee from the Center for HIV Identification, Prevention and Treatment Services and Electrical Engineering's Aydogan Ozcan.
Leibowitz spoke about HIV in the United States while Rotheram spoke about HIV in Africa and Lee spoke about HIV in Asia. Ozcan's lecture was about using new technologies in HIV care, including utilizing smart phone technology.
