
Karen Lee is a licensed clinical social worker with interests in areas of social work practice that include gerontology, social work in health care settings, mental health, and psychotherapy. As a field consultant with the GSWEC (Geriatric Social Work Education Consortium) program, Karen is actively involved in the nation’s first major university and social service agency alliance dedicated to building a new workforce of geriatric social workers with superior graduate level academic and field training. She also teaches both undergraduate and graduate level courses in aging and clinical practice. Her social work practice experience prior to joining the field faculty has included work at AIDS Project Los Angeles; Norris Cancer Hospital; Senior Outreach Services at Jewish Family Service; LivHome, a geriatric care management company; and a private psychotherapy practice.
