MSW Curriculum

The information below describes the curricular requirements for students enrolled in the MSW degree program.

[1]Year One [2] (for both Micro and Macro track students)

Year Two for Micro track students [3] (Social Work with Individuals, Families, and Groups)

Year Two for Macro track students [4](Social Work with Organizations, Communities and Policy)

Please note the following:

 

  • Students must take at least one course outside of the Department of Social Welfare.
  • Extra courses may be required for CalSWEC, IUC, School, and other special training programs.  Consult your graduate advisor for information.
  • A minimum of 76 units is required for graduation.
A complete list of Social Welfare course descriptions may be found in the General Catalog [5] of the UCLA Registrar's Office.
