Florida has long been a state with a nuanced and complex political landscape, and the most recent elections underscore its contradictions. In 2020, voters increased the state’s minimum wage to $15 an hour, while giving the state to Trump. With an active base of community organizers who are mobilizing a coalition of diverse voters, the future of Florida may soon look very different.
