How to Craft a Persuasive Op-Ed Piece Wednesday, May 12, 2010 12:00-1:00pm Public Affairs Building, Room 4371B RSVP to rsvp@spa.ucla.edu Jim Newton, editor-at-large of the Los Angeles Times, will discuss how to conceive and craft an effective Op-Ed submission. He will describe the process at The Times for reviewing and selecting pieces, as well as providing writing tips and answering questions. Mr. Newton is also a Senior Fellow at the UCLA School of Public Affairs. Light refreshments will be provided! Co-sponsored by Career Services and the Senior Fellows program.
