Nonprofits and the State of Social Media

Nonprofits everywhere are experimenting with the use of Social Media. To succeed, nonprofits have to listen first and then build credibility and audience through participation online. Presenters will define online opportunities, identify appropriate strategies and share examples of nonprofits participating and succeeding with branding, online fundraising, and overall increased awareness. Presented by:Mary Gross and Morgan BrownClick here to RSVP.Morgan Brown is currently the director of social media for ScoreBig. Previously he was the director of marketing for TurnHere, a leading online video production and advertising company. Over the past 10 years Morgan has been immersed in various roles of marketing and in particular, online marketing. Morgan is also the co-founder of Social Media Club Orange County.  Morgan’s passion is at the intersection of marketing and technology and the exploration of how the two combine to create new and improved connections between people and companies. Morgan is an experienced speaker and has given many talks on online and new media marketing and how businesses can leverage new technologies to build customer relationships and increase sales, reputation and loyalty. Mary Gross is the President of 144 Solutions, Inc. a private web consulting firm. Mary’s career in the Web industry began in 1995, working for an interactive web marketing firm located in San Diego and then as the Director of Technology for a nonprofit specializing in consulting and training for other nonprofits. In 2010, she opened her own consulting agency specializing in web strategies for nonprofits and small business. Mary’s focus is about creating strategies that make sense – financially, creatively, practically and create the best return on investment possible.
