Pathways to Political Office: Congresswoman Mimi Walters

May 9 @ 12:45 pm-1:45 pm

Join the Department of Public Policy and Undergraduate Program for a learn-at-lunch with Congresswoman Mimi Walters.  Prior to her work as a US. Representative for the 45th district (Orange County), she was elected to the Laguna Nigel City Council, California State Assembly (73rd Assembly district), State Senate (33rd and 37th districts).  From her broad range of experience in local, state, and federal government, Congresswoman Walters will discuss what it takes to be a public servant.

The lunch is a terrific opportunity for you to interact with Congresswoman Walters, learn about political processes on multiple government levels, and hear about women in business and politics.  You may read more about the Congresswoman here: https://www.mimiwalters.com/

RSVP is required at https://forms.gle/PVmyycJ11D7SDmqX6. Space is limited and only open to Luskin graduate and undergraduate students.  The FIRST 50 students who RSVP will be allowed entry (25 undergraduate and 25 graduate students), and the remaining students will be put on a waitlist.  A confirmation and additional information will be sent closer to the event.

Lunch will be provided. Please note any food allergies or dietary restrictions in the RSVP.
