Promoting Cycling and Walking for Sustainable Cities: Lessons from Europe and North America

Professor John Pucher, an expert in travel behavior and policies regarding bicycling will give a lecture titled, “Promoting Cycling and Walking for Sustainable Cities: Lessons from Europe and North America.” Professor Pucher will draw on what lessons can be learned from effective walking and cycling programs already in effect in Europe and North America. Pucher’s recent research has focused on walking and bicycling, and has published three books and over 100 peer-reviewed articles.
