Anne Brown is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Urban Planning and a graduate student researcher in the Lewis Center for Regional Policy Studies and the UCLA Institute of Transportation Studies. Her research examines the intersection of transportation equity, finance, and travel behavior. Recent work analyzes voting patterns and equity outcomes of local option transportation sales taxes, the equity of distance-based transit fares, and the effect of the California Gas Tax Swap on state transportation finance. Anne’s dissertation research investigates the equity implications of ride-hail services.
