Why UCLA MRED?
UCLA MRED is distinguished from other MRED programs through an emphasis on where real estate is going – the leading edge of real estate – rather than where it’s been. We explore topics such as how artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing real estate, sustainable investment and development, emerging niche sectors, commercial loan workouts, innovative off-site housing delivery methods and building technologies, and novel fundraising techniques.
Housed in the Luskin School’s top-ranked Urban Planning department, the MRED program’s interdisciplinary approach allows students to access courses and resources across the university, including the UCLA Anderson School of Management and its preeminent Ziman Center for Real Estate, and the UCLA School of Law. Research opportunities exist through the Lewis Center for Regional Policy Studies and other research centers.
The UCLA MRED leverages expertise from across the UCLA campus, drawing upon decades of cutting-edge research and policy analysis about real estate at the nation’s No. 1 public university. This forward-thinking program was developed by industry, for industry to produce real estate professionals who are prepared to contribute on day one to have a positive impact on the social and environmental challenges of our time.
