The MPP/MPH joint degree offers a concurrent program leading to the Master of Public Policy and a Master of Public Health degree in three years. As one of the leading universities in the nation oriented to health services and health policy research, UCLA prepares students to address complex public health challenges through evidence-based policy analysis, health systems management, and interdisciplinary leadership. Offered jointly by the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs and the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, the program equips graduates to improve health outcomes through policy, research, and organizational leadership across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors.
Health Policy Leadership: Prepares graduates to influence health care policy and management at the intersection of services and policy.

Students complete the requirements for both the MPP and MPH degrees through an integrated curriculum totaling 78 quarter units. Coursework includes core public health and public policy requirements, specialized health policy and management courses, elective coursework, and a 10-week summer internship with a healthcare or public health organization, culminating in a consulting report based on the field experience.
