Join Us on April 15 to Build a More Resilient and Equitable California

The 2026 Luskin Summit will explore the current forces that create and intensify vulnerability in California communities to highlight solutions that promote resilience, equity, and well-being.

Grounded in UCLA Luskin’s commitment to tackling society’s most urgent issues, the Summit will focus on understanding vulnerability — its causes, its consequences, and the collective actions needed to build stronger, more equitable communities for the future.

UCLA Luskin faculty and researchers will join policymakers, nonprofit leaders, and community partners to examine the systems, policies, and social structures that leave people and places at risk. This year’s discussions will address the effectiveness of SB 79, California’s new housing development law; environmental concerns around plastics and mega-events; transit safety; and the ongoing challenges posed by market power and intergenerational differences.
