Prospective students and community members are cordially invited to attend UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs, Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) program’s Open House on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 10:00am-8:00pm (PST).
The Open House will be a blended experience of information-based sessions and networking for prospective students and community members interested in learning about the MRED program and its strong connection to the real estate development field. While we encourage participants to attend as much of the day’s events as possible to fully absorb the UCLA MRED experience, attendees can RSVP for the sessions they are most likely to attend. We are especially pleased to invite prospective students to attend an industry reception and talk by our Fall 2025 Distinguished Visiting Fellow in Real Estate, Dennis Lopez, CEO of Quadreal.

DENNIS LOPEZ
A California native, Dennis is an industry leader with over 30 years of experience in real estate investments, asset management, investment banking and equity/debt fundraising in public/private markets. As Chief Executive Officer of QuadReal Property Group, he is responsible for the leadership of the company and its global investment strategy. He has an extensive track record in global investments and brings deep relationships with real estate industry leaders and major institutional investors to QuadReal. Dennis has led the evolution of QuadReal from a Canada focused, fund-based investor to a global real estate investment, operating and development company. Prior to joining QuadReal, Dennis was Chief Investment Officer of AXA IM – Real Assets, the fifth largest global real estate investment manager, based in Paris, and Chief Executive Officer of SUN Real Estate Group, a private equity firm based in Delhi and Moscow. Dennis spent his earlier career as the Global Head of Real Estate at Cambridge Place Investment Management, a London-based hedge fund, and as Managing Director and European Head of Real Estate Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan.

Housing in the Luskin School of Public Affairs, the UCLA MRED (https://luskin.ucla.edu/mred) was launched in 2025, with an inaugural cohort of 25 students. UCLA MRED is an unprecedented collaboration between UCLA and the real estate industry, to deliver a practical, hands-on, case-driven, real-world curriculum. UCLA MRED emphasizes impact on day one and the leading edge of real estate, new tools and technology to drive value, a whole person approach including soft skills and intangibles to be effective leaders, Los Angeles as a living learning lab as the city rebuilds around sustainability and resiliency, and leverages resources from across the UCLA campus.
