Norma Rubio
Norma Rubio is an MSW/PhD Social Welfare student and Cota Robles Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She currently works with the Pritzker Center’s ENRICH team in partnership with Strengths-Based Community Change (SBCC) to evaluate ENRICH, a guaranteed income-like stipend and coaching program for young people in extended foster care. Her research interests center on the concept of “mattering” among marginalized populations, with a particular focus on Latinx communities. Before pursuing social welfare, Norma built a career in tv broadcasting, where she won an Emmy for writing, and also produced mindfulness meditation content in the tech industry. Both are experiences that continue to inform her research and her commitment to creating lasting change.
