Join James Suazo, Executive Director of Long Beach Forward, to learn about the history of community organizing in LA, how organizing differs from advocacy, and how to get involved in local organizing efforts. You will also learn more about the work LBF does and how to participate in it.
We hope that this workshop allows students to understand how to apply organizing principles in real world practice and take what you learn in the classroom out into the world.
