“What is Governed and Not Governed in Large Metropolis: Insights from Paris and Mexico”

Patrick Le Galès, FBA, is CNRS research professor of politics and sociology, Sciences Po, Centre d’Etudes Européennes and Dean of Sciences Po Urban School. He chairs the “Cities are back in town” research group. He was a visiting professor/ researcher at Nuffield College Oxford,  UCLA, King’s College London,  the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Society in Cologne, the Universities of Milan Bicocca and Venise, The university of Sao Paolo (Centre for Metropolitan Studies),  Northwestern, the Colejio of Mexico. He is a former editor of the International Journal of Urban and Regional Research and former president of SASE (Society for the advancement of socio economics).
