- Sunday, June 24
- Wednesday, June 27
The UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation in collaboration with the National Park Service (NPS) will be administering a visitor-use survey. The survey will be given to visitors at 45 trailheads in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. The survey results will be used to increase understanding of visitor demographics, activity patterns, and attitudes. The findings will be used to inform future NPS investments in visitor services and trail management.
The project team is seeking detail-oriented and responsible volunteers who will be stationed at trailhead entrances. Volunteers will survey visitors in two shifts: mornings (8 am-1 pm) and afternoons (4-8 pm). Volunteers can sign up for as many shifts/days as they are available. The Luskin Center will provide training and materials. No survey experience is necessary. If interested and available, please fill out the google form.
