The Social Welfare Latina/o Caucus in the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs would like to invite you to the 12th Social Services in the Latina/o Community Conference: Immigration and Mental Health, which will take place on Saturday May 3rd, 2014!This year we will focus on the topic of immigration and mental health within the Latino immigrant community. Our Keynote Speaker is Alberto Retana is leading Community Coalitions civic engagement effort to organize 30,000 African American and Latino voters of South Los Angeles in various campaigns and efforts to transform neighborhoods and empower people. Alberto also worked for the Obama administration in the U.S. Department of Education as Director of Community Outreach. General Parking is $12.00. Venue/Registration: Signs will lead guests from Lot 3 to the School of Public Affairs Building (F3 on map grid). Registration will take place in front of Rooms 2343/2355 (2nd floor) beginning at 8:15am. Agenda/Workshop Descriptions: We will send all registered attendees an overview of our finalized agenda and workshops, as soon it is available. This event is scheduled to go from 8:15am to 5:00pm. CEUs: We will be offering Continuing Education Units (CEUs) free of charge! The allocation of CEUs will depend on workshop(s) attended.
