Dean Gary M. Segura and the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs invite alumni from the departments of Public Policy, Social Welfare, and Urban Planning to join us for an evening of Luskin camaraderie and connection.
Jacqueline Gillan MA UP ’75 is generously hosting this event at her home on Capitol Hill. Ms. Gillan’s career has spanned transportation planning and policy, public health and safety, and government relations. She is president of Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety, a non-profit organization promoting the adoption of federal and state laws and programs to advance safety. She testifies before the U.S. Congress, state legislatures and federal agencies on highway, auto and truck safety issues and is frequently quoted in the media. Since graduating from the urban planning program, she has resided in the Washington, D.C. area and has held senior policy positions with the United States Senate, the U.S. Department of Transportation, two state transportation agencies, as well as the Clinton/Gore Transition Team.
