Sex trafficking of minors in the U.S. is a prevalent issue, however it is a rare topic of discussion. An estimated 100,000 children are victims of sex trafficking. The conference, “Commercially Sexually Exploited Children: Unspoken Truth,” seeks to educate on the issues surrounding sex trafficking of minors. “Commercially Sexually Exploited Children: Unspoken Truth” has invited guest speakers, including author Alexandra Lutnick, who have expertise with respect to working with exploited children. Three panels will be held consisting of sexually exploited survivors, service providers and those involved in criminal justice. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear the experiences of individuals who have escaped the sex trade in addition to engaging in a Q&A with individuals who work closely with them to effectively help survivors leave that life. The panels of service providers and law enforcement will discuss the best methods of effectively helping this population as well as some of the developments and recent advancement in policy. Please come out and help bring awareness to an issue that is effecting the lives of thousands of children across the U.S. Help us tell their truth.
