This workshop is taught by UCLA Alumni Amber Hawkes, AICP, and Georgia Sheridan, AICP. Sheridan/Hawkes are the creators of DESIGN Your Neighborhood: Design Strategies and Resources for Livable Neighborhoods , a toolkit for Neighborhood Councils and people who are working at the local level in Los Angeles to improve their communities. The toolkit offers easy-to-use design strategies, ideas, and resources to promote incremental, small-scale improvements to the urban realm. The Toolkit was created by Sasha Wisotsky (M.A. Urban Planning, 2010) in partnership with Sheridan/Hawkes.
