Kurt Luhrsen will review the important questions successful planners must ask during any route planning exercise. In addition, his discussion will touch on the various analytical tools and methods that are available to assist planners when they are evaluating different solutions to particular transit service-related issues. Speaker BioKurt Luhrsen is the Vice President of Planning for the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County in Houston, Texas. He oversees short and long-range service planning, system and environmental planning, ridership analysis and reporting, emergency evacuation planning and coordination, and fixed route scheduling. Mr. Luhrsen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies & Planning from UC San Diego and a Master of Arts in Urban Planning from UCLA. Lunch will be provided. RSVP now!
