The 8th Social Services in the Latina/o Community Conference

The Department of Social Welfare Latina/o Caucus and the UCLA School of Public Affairs will be hosting a FREE conference for students and professionals interested in dialoguing about the complex issues impacting the Latina/o community. Join us to learn culturally sensitive interventions to better serve our community.  Keynote Speaker: Fernando Torres-Gil, Ph.D  Workshops topics will include: Immigration Issues Education Rights DREAM Act Critical Race Theory in Social Work Dealing with Grief & Loss Cognitive & Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Gang Prevention & Intervention HIV/AIDS, Culture & Spirituality   Lunch and CEU’s will be provided!
